Note: this is NOT obsolete, although Kucinich has already delivered to Congress the over 100,000 signatures from up to July 30th.
The impeachment petition that just might work!
Consider the list: Lying us into a needless war. “Free speech zones.” Valerie Plame. Signing statements. Warrantless spying on Americans. People imprisoned without the right to know the charges against them, tortured, then tried using secret evidence and their own coerced “confessions.” This isn’t the America I grew up in—and I’m only 23!
In Dennis Kucinich's words:
"...last Friday was a day of singular importance in Washington. The House Judiciary Committee met to discuss Bush Administration's abuse of executive power and for the first time the case for Impeachment was discussed in front of a Congressional committee, in depth, at length and with authority. Twenty members of the Judiciary Committee attended the six hour hearing, during which twelve witnesses, including myself and four members of Congress testified. In this hearing I called for the Impeachment of the President for misrepresenting a case for war."
Note that the Iraq war is only part of the case Kucinich himself has laid out in his 35 Articles of Impeachment.
